If Tomorrow Starts Without Me
If tomorrow starts without
me, and I’m not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled
with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.
I know how much you love me…as much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss
me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to
understand,
That an angel came and called my name and took me by the
hand,
And said my place was ready in heaven far above,
And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly
love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I’d always thought, I didn’t want to
die.
I had so much to live for, so much left yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the
bad,
I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we
had.
If I could relive yesterday just even for a while,
I’d say good-bye and kiss you, and maybe see you smile. |
I Know My Master Is There
A sick
man turned to his doctor,
as he
was preparing to leave the examination room and said,
"Doctor, I am afraid to die.
Tell me
what lies on the other side."
Very
quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."
"You
don't know?
You, a
Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?"
The
doctor was holding the handle of the door;
on the
other side came a sound of scratching and whining,
and as
he opened the door,
a dog
sprang into the room
and
leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.
Turning
to the patient, the doctor said,
"Did
you notice my dog?
He's
never been in this room before.
He
didn't know what was inside.
He knew
nothing except that his master was here,
and
when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.
I know
little of what is on the other side of death,
but I
do know one thing...
I know
my Master is there and that is enough."
